WELCOME TO MY WORLD (2017)

Welcome to My World (2017): 3 x 30’ documentaries following the lives of 6 children from a variety of backgrounds, including Syrian refugee Salahudin, as they navigate their lives as bi-cultural Scots. These were produced for BBC Learning online.

ROUND THE CLOCK (2014)

After developing a pilot, BBC Learning commissioned this 1 x 60’ programme for TV broadcast and online about telling the time for a KS1 audience. We found and developed brand new presenter Sabrina Grant who has since gone on to present a whole host of factual entertainment shows for Channel Four including Super Shoppers and Saved and Remade for BBC.

SECOND SCREEN (2013)

This was a funded development project funded by BBC Innovations. We worked with presenter and vocal coach Carrie Grant to create an innovative singalong-on-a-second screen experience. The technology was unfortunately still playing catch-up at the time, but we did get a fulsome round of applause when we pitched it to the Innovations team at the BBC at MediaCity, Salford, which was  rewarding.

COUNTING WITH RODD - SERIES 2 (2013)

Presented by Rodd Christensen (Balamory), this TV commission built on the foundations of the previous series and further  developed our young audience's Maths skills, by introducing addition, and subtraction for the young audience.

COUNTING WITH RODD (2012)

This 1 x 60’ TV commission from BBC Learning was to help our KS1 audience learn to count. Working with educational consultants we came up with innovative ways for the audience to remember their numbers.

TALKIE TIME - SERIES 2 (2011)

This 1 x 90’ TV commission for BBC Learning was to create interactive sketches for our young audience where the children and their teacher or carer could interact with the presenter on screen. The concept was developed by Turmeric and was the first time such an approach was taken in the classroom.

TALKIE TIME (2011)

Presented by Rodd Christenson this 1 x 60’ TV commission for BBC Learning was to create a series of interactive sketches for KS1 children where the children and their teacher or carer could interact with the presenter. Further commissions of these sketch shows followed.

THE POWER OF POETRY (2010)

This was a 1 x 60’ TV commission for BBC Learning dramatising a variety of popular poems. Filmed in Yorkshire, we worked with actors including Reece Noi (Grange Hill, Waterloo Road) and Poppy Rush (Eastenders) to bring poems like Tichborne's Elegy and The Ruined Maid by Thomas Hardy to life for KS4 students.

THE POWER OF TEXT (2009)

This was a 1 x 90’ TV minute commission for BBC Learning dramatising a variety of key texts for KS4 students.

We worked with actors like James Sutton (Hollyoaks, Emmerdale), Vincent Marzello (The Witches), James Young (Chewin' the Fat, Still Game) to bring to life text like Abraham Lincoln's The Gettysburg Address, Rupert Brooke's The Soldier, and Tennyson's Ulysses,  recreating periods as diverse as  Tudor times, the First World War and the American Civil War to serve as backdrops to these powerful readings.
